Our apartment has an oil furnace. The last tenants never used the heating-- just insulated the windows and used space heaters-- and the tank is empty. Disclaimer: I know I've defended Bell (and all its subsidiaries) an awful lot in the past when people were whining about their fees, crappy/non-existant techie services and pretty darn useless phone ''customer'' services. I know. If there were a cosmic way to take it back, I promise I would.

Can anyone recommend a good plumber in the St. Henri area? My bathroom sink isn't draining properly- it takes forever to drain. I've tried rooting around with a wire/snake but nothing. And I don't want to use Draino or stuff that'll eat the pipes. Thanks for any recs!

    I think electricity here is quite cheap. Hydro Quebec charges about 5.4 cents per KWH plus a fixed charge of about 40 cents a day. You can compare to the States - where people on the average pay 3-4 times more per KWH, and start feeling happy about your electric bill.
